Hi Jan,

we're currently using the ClickOnce deployment technology and this is causing all kinds of issues. As soon as we get an official code signature certificate approved, we'll switch to a much more reliable ActiveX-based deployment technology.

However, it would be useful to find out which response your server sends to your users when their browser requests http://collabdev.gt.com/_layouts/roxority_UploadZen/help/app/roxUp.application -- can you have a savvy user open the URL in Notepad maybe?

Also, if by "external users" you're referring to Forms-based authentication, I hope you don't have too many HTTP-filtering / -rewriting proxies or intermediaries (such as VPN software, Cisco etc.) as they tend to send back yet another request for authentication (since the ClickOnce component of Windows annoyingly does not seem to share the existing IE authentication cookie and also cannot perform a proper login neither).

Have you double-checked you followed all the instructions described on http://roxority.com/uploadzen-documentation/deployment-checklist.html ?

Sorry for those temporary hassles that may or may not help you out while we are already working on a better solution, as the current model of how things work is unfortunately clearly broken for most users.
