Have you noticed the quotes in the previous post? I'm currently surrounded by hundreds of quotes and aphorisms due to a small software product I'm working on—and these two-hundred-and-counting quotes are only the ones I can relate to...
As a result, quotes and aphorisms from my growing collection keep popping up on every occasion. I'm starting to annoy people in the real world, so I hope my online audience can forbear with me and appreciate it is really just "job-related".

I have already received criticism for over-using quotes and aphorisms, due to their inherent shortcoming of apparently "saying it all": often in a slightly moralising way, without taking consideration of the many exceptions to whatever "rule" is suggested by the proverb in question.
