UploadZen: Feedback Forum > Installing: Sharepoint was unable to connect to the database server.
We've only ever seen this happen when installing while SharePoint is being auto-updated for Service Packs etc. But try again with 1.9 -- the setup installer in there has a few fixes and improvements in it, too. Please let us know briefly if this does not resolve your issue!

Hello all,
Thanks in advance for your help. I am trying to install UploadZen 1.8 and in the installation I get the message "SharePoint was unable to connect to the data base server. The server is up and running. It is on the same machine as SharePoint. Its windows server 08. I am new at this and trying to see if deployment for my company is a good idea. Am I missing something simple?
