Does UploadZen upload column values as well?

Thanks
Al

Not currently. How exactly would you require this feature to work, should we decide to support it in the next release?

I have some existing databases with file attachments. I would like to create an extract file with the field names from the database and make it into a csv file. Then I would like to use a program like Uploadzen and submit a datafile and a csv file and create a Document Library in Sharepoint. I would use the csv file to fill in column values.

How would you fill in the column values? Is that a SQL database somewhere?

Thanks
AL

Hi Al! This sounds like a very specific individual scenario to me that you would need to get custom-scripted from someone. Such a custom tool or script could however re-use the UploadZen file upload web service located at http://your_server/_layouts/roxority_UploadZen/Files.asmx -- the single Upload method in there might be self-explanatory but if you need more details on this, let us know!

Where do get an installer for ADODB 7.0.33? Uploadzen won't run because it said it needs the said ADODB installed. Thanks.

Hi valjean! Thanks for pointing this issue out. The ADODB dependency is not actually directly required by UploadZen. Will post an update here once this has been fixed.

Fixed in Version 1.2 which is now available for download!

Just a comment. When files are uploaded, they always go to the root of the document library. I can't change the location so that the files are uploaded into a sud-directory. Another feature to have is we should be able to load the main directory and all the subdirectories are automatically created in sharepoint.

We just released version 1.3, now fully supporting those 2 requirements as well as smarter ZIP capabilities.
