Hi Niels,
this message usually indicates that either no default Shared Service Provider has been set up in Central Administration for storing and managing User Profiles, or your SharePoint environment has not yet been fully patched up to the most recent Service Pack levels.

Trying to use the webpart on our test site, results in the error:
The "roxority_UserListWebPart" Web Part appears to be causing a problem. Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: serverContext
Do you have a clue?
