FilterZen: Feedback Forum > Cascading pre-filtering issue

Hi,

I have an issue with the cascading filter functionality.

These are the lists I am using:
- "Buildings" (containing a single column with building names)
- "Rooms" (containing a single column with room names)
- "Planning" (containing many columns, but one of them is a lookup field "building" retrieving info from the "Buildings" list, and another one of them is a lookup field "Room" retrieving info from the "Rooms" list)

I have created a page which displays:
- the filterzen webpart
- my "Planning" list

In the filterzen webpart on this page, I have enabled CAML mode, cascading pre-filtering and immediate automatic refiltering.

The filterzen webpart displays 2 list lookup filters (one for the "building" column and one for the "room" column), and 2 text filters. When I use the first lookup filter (building) the lists is being refiltered. So far so good. But when I now have a look at the options presented in the "Room" lookup filter, I would expect to see only the rooms belonging to the selected building. This however is not the case; I see all rooms.

I am probably doing something seriously wrong here, but cannot seen to figure out what.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Many thanks in advance!

Regards,
Rob

Do the List Lookup filters point to the respective Lookup column in the Planning List or directly to the looked-up Lists?

SharePoint 2007 or 2010?

What full version number is shown in the right-hand side bar of any one page linked under Site Settings / FilterZen Studio?

Hi,

The list lookup filters point to the respective lookup column in the Planning List.
SharePoint 2010 is being used.
The FilterZen version is 3.8.0.69

Rob

Your FilterZen version is way out of date -- please update to the newest build and report back via email if the issue persists... there have been numerable bug fixes in all areas since 3.8.0.69!
