FilterZen: Feedback Forum > Ad-Hoc DropDown does not show all matching results

Dear Roxority Team

We have SharePoint 2010 with a list of persons. This list should be filtered by Coloum "From" witch contains a name and a prename (e.g. "Thomas Berger")

As an example the list contains the following list items and more:
- Disch Rainer Wolfgang
- Besch Wolfram
- Czewenka Wolfgang
- Meyer Wolfgang
- Wolf Peter
- Wolieb Peter

When i now type "wolf" in the filterbox (text filter - contains) only the following names are shown in the ad-hoc dropdown:
- Disch Rainer Wolfgang
- Meyer Wolfgang

When i delete the last letter so there is only "wol" in the filterbox all matching persons are shown.

Now, when i reenter the f so there is again "wolf" in the box, still all matching persons are shown.

The filterresults it self always show the correct values, only the ad-hoc dropdown is afforded by this behaviour.

I'm looking forwart to reading from you.

Kind Regards
Thomas Berger

Cool, that works now.

A similar issue i get with numbers (e.g. Postalcode)
the List contains e.g.
-3004
-3005
-3067
-3068

when i enter now "3" as filter value (begins with) i get a ad-hoc list with
-3004
-3005

same values with "30"
-3004
-3005

when i now enter "306" i get the other two list entries:
-3067
-3068

thought this is the same thing like the text thing with wolf, but seems to be an other issue.

Thanks anyway for your help! Great support!

Kind Regards
Thomas Berger

Cannot be reproduced in our 2010 environments with that test data. Cleared browser caches and iisresets? In which browsers does that seem to happen?

Yes, browser caches were cleared and iis was restarted. seems to happen in quite every browser (IE/FF/Chrome/Opera) The List of PostalCodes is larger than the sample list i posted before. is it possible that when more than 40 possible entries (whitch seems to be the maximum according to the appearing message at the bottom of the ad-hoc-list) are available, then the "result reduction" works like this?

Could be actually! Try to increase the limit under Site Settings / FilterZen Studio / Configuration / Specific Filter Types / "Maximum number of choices in Text filters' List-based AutoSuggest drop-downs"...
