FilterZen: Feedback Forum > Export to Spreadsheet ignores all defined Filters?

hello,
I'm evaluating the Filters Package. I managed to build a nested AND/OR filter that filters a list view exactly like we need it.

but when I use the Lists Menu "Actions => Export to Spreadsheet" to open the view in Excel, I get all items as if the filter did not apply to this export at all?

What did I miss?

Hi Jens,

"Export to Spreadsheet" sounds like SharePoint's built-in out-of-box Excel connection feature (not a real export by the way, just an empty excel file with a data link to your list).

Neither FilterZen nor ExportZen are capable of touching that internal feature. FilterZen is capable of applying its filters when exporting using ExportZen, not sure if you're using this though since it sounds like you're using the built-in so-called "export".

Yes, I was talking about the SharePoint build in Export or Link to Excel.

So, I need another product "ExportZen" to be able to export the filtered views?

I'll try this ...
